Hi,
I am interested in growing Aristolochia (I have read that 2 different varieties attract some rare butterflies). I read on your web site in the past about the ‘Tagar’ (sp?) variety and saw a note about contacting the National Parks Board about seed. Today, I checked your website and found no reference to this. I also contact the NPB and they said they don’t provide seeds to the public.
I have found a couple of different types of aristolochia but I am not sure if they are the desired (by butterflies) type. Would appreciate some assistance as I have a good place for growing and am keen to get started.
Regards,
Scott

Hi Scott,
The Aristolochia species which attracts butterflies (Common Birdwing and Common Rose) is Aristolochia tagala.
We can help you to id the plant if you send us photo of the plant.
